DW TROPHY NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

Nominations for this year’s DW trophies are now officially open!

There are two DW trophies that are awarded based on nominations from paddlers, support crew or DW followers.

These trophies are:

THE SIR LOUIS AND LADY GLUCKSTEIN TROPHY

For the crew, or crewperson displaying exceptional courage and fortitude.

THE JON WHITE TROPHY

Donated by the Royal Marines Charity and the RAF Sports Federation for the disabled paddler, or paddlers, displaying exceptional determination and resolve over adversity.

If you, your crew or a crew you know of would be worthy of consideration for one of the above trophies please email dwtrophysecretary@gmail.com with their boat number or names and a breif description of why you wish to nominate them.

We know people are often hesitant to make such nominations, but these trophies encapsulate the spirit of DW and we really want to hear about anyone who deserves consideration. The Directors will assess all the nominations and make a decision on the winners based on a variety of factors.

Please get your nominations in by midnight on Sunday 7 th April 2024.

The PFEIFFER CUP is awarded to the paddler, or crew, who have raised the most money for charity. If you have raised money, no matter how big or small an amount, please email dwtrophysecretary@gmail.com with your boat number, amount raised (to date) and for which charity. We understand that money may still be being pledged, but we have a cut off time for the final amount to be measured – this is midnight on Sunday 14th April. Any crew who have notified the DW of amounts raised before that date will be able to increase their amounts accordingly if necessary.

DW Trophy Secretary.
