DW announces Winter event

The Devizes to Westminster Organisation Ltd is pleased to announce that they will be running a DW Winter Warm-Up event on 6th December 2026.

There will be two races happening on the day - a 26-mile race from Cookham to Elmbridge and a 15-mile race from Windsor to Elmbridge.  Both races are open to all classes - including SUP's.

Exact details for each are still being confirmed, but with thanks to Cookham Reach Sailing Club the 26-mile race check-in will be at their clubhouse and paddlers will go upstream for a mile or so, turn and then proceed downstream to Elmbridge. There will be three start times - one for Division 7-9 standard, one for Division 4-6 standard and one for Division 1-3 standard.

The 15-mile course will start in Windsor and go to Elmbridge - probably with only one start (dependent on entries).

Both races will operate with a finish window of 14:00 to 15:30 - all boats in the 26-mile race need to gauge their start time to finish in the window. 

If you need to do a qualification paddle for your DW 2027 entry, the 26-mile race will count as that (assuming you finish within the window!)

These races are not exclusively for paddlers looking to do DW in 2027 - all paddlers are welcome to enter.

When all the details are finalised, entry will be via the MRC entry system.
