The Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race is one of the world’s great endurance challenges — 125 miles, 77 portages, and an experience that stays with you for life. Whether you’re a DW veteran planning your next attempt, or someone who has always wondered if you could do it, now is the time to take your first step towards DW 2027.
Register your Expression of Interest
For a £25 fee — which is fully deducted from your entry fee if you go on to enter — you secure your place in the 2027 planning process and unlock a package of support that makes the journey to the start line that much easier.
EOI paddlers can enter at Early Bird prices right through to the end of the Advanced Entry window, saving £30 on the entry fee. That means the EOI more than pays for itself.

Registering your EOI connects you to the DW community. We’ll pair you with a DW Buddy — an experienced paddler who can offer advice throughout your preparation, connect you with local Marathon Racing Clubs with DW heritage, and help you find a paddling partner if you don’t yet have one. You’ll also receive the DW Newsletter and have access to a 25% discount on the DW Training Days in October and December 2026, run by Kieron Blackburn at Newbury Canoe Club.
Those training days have a remarkable record — everyone who has attended and gone on to start the race has finished it.
