2024 DW Handbook released

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Devizes to Westminster 2024 Handbook.

Not only a new name, but a complete reformatting of the old rule book to make it easier to navigate and find specific items.  This mammoth effort was, in the main, the work of Vicky Metcalfe and we are very grateful for all the hours she spent on this.

There are some new regulations for 2024 in this Handbook, so even if you are a seasoned DW paddler, it is essential that you read it and make yourself familiar with the contents. It is also important that support crews understand the rules - we have issued penalties to crews every year as a result of their support crew's infringements.

Due to the change in finish location to Thames Young Mariners for the Stages race, we will be issuing an amendments document to cover any changes to the Handbook that are required because of that.

The relay event, although a trial for this year, will be run in line with the regulations for the Senior Doubles class with the addition of some specific rules for the event. The key one being that changeovers can only happen at checkpoints, but crews don't have to change at every checkpoint. A comprehensive set of rules for the trial event will be issued shortly.

The full Handbook can be found here.
